Spring 2025 Garden Events in Atlanta

February 13, 2025 By Lucy Mercer 1 Comment

I’m lucky to live in the Atlanta area where spring comes early. Quite often in February, we’ll have afternoon temperatures in the 60s, warm enough to shop the garden centers and be inspired for my spring gardens.

The weather doesn’t always cooperate, however, and this gardener’s attention turns to indoor activities like diving into the teetering stack of garden books and seed catalogs growing by my favorite chair (with the good reading light beside it 😊).

On those days, I plan my Garden Events like tours, plant sales and symposiums. Here are my picks for gardening events in the Atlanta area spring 2025:

February 2025

Georgia Perennial Plant Association Symposium and Silent Auction

Get excited about gardening at Georgia Perennial Plant Association’s Symposium featuring speakers Richard G. Hawke of the Chicago Botanic Garden; Jennifer Petritz, president of the American Hydrangea Society; and “Planting in a Post-Wild World” co-author Thomas Rainer. Atlanta gardening legend Lisa Bartlett emcees the event. Held in Atlanta on February 22. Register here.
