Penny McHenry Hydrangea Festival Garden Tour 2022

November 1, 2022 By Lucy Mercer

The 14th Annual Penny McHenry Hydrangea Festival Garden Tour took place the first Saturday in June, 2022, in Douglasville, Georgia. As my friends and I toured the gardens, we kept saying the hydrangeas got the memo that they needed to be beautiful on this day. That’s to say, it was a great day in the gardens and the hydrangeas were perfect.

Following is a photo gallery with notes from the garden tour.

Garden Rooms & Hydrangeas

Susanne Hudson’s Campbellton Street garden is more than locally famous –it’s been featured on both HGTV and Country Living. Susanne and her neighbor Geri Farmer co-founded the Penny McHenry Hydrangea Festival to celebrate hydrangeas and gardens. Both Susanne and Geri open their gardens each year for the festival garden tour and it’s always a treat to see their unique garden styles and how they refine through the years.
